Happy Fall Ya’ll! The temperatures are finally dropping, leaves are falling, and pumpkin spice lattes are back in coffee shops across the nation! (#sorrynotsorry)
With all of the changes around here, I knew I’d need to make some fall flavored treats for my spoiled pups since they know exactly what Fall is.
This recipe is really easy to make plus it doubles as a free candle that smells like it’s from Bath and Body Works (talk about a win win situation!)
I decided to go for a normal bone shape, although it would be really cute to use a pumpkin or ghost like I did last year.
I pulled out the big mixer for this one because this dough can get STICKY. Make sure you have a lot of flour on hand because it’ll turn into a giant orange mess without it.
All you need for this recipe is:
- 1 cup of pumpkin
- 2 eggs
- 3-4 tbs. of peanut butter
- 2 tsp. of honey
- 3 cups of whole wheat flour
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. You’ll want to whisk together the pumpkin puree, egg, peanut butter, and honey first and then slowly add in your whole wheat flour. Depending on the consistency of the dough, you can add flour as needed to get rid of the stickiness. Roll out the dough and cut with desired cookie cutter. Bake for 15 minutes or until you achieve a golden brown color.
